I guess that's what happens when you have a baby only ten days into 2008. Huh. Anyway, let's see, let's see. A list of random things in no particular order:
1. Remember all those posts at the end of last year about working on the nursery? IT IS STILL UNFINISHED. The boy sleeps in a bassinet in our room, and he's now too long for it, so I think last night was his last night in it (well, half night---he's not sleeping entirely through the night yet). While the thought of him sleeping in my arms in our bed for his entire night's rest fills me with much dread (it's okay for a couple of hours, but he's sleeping between five and six hours a night now), I think we may need to do that for at least tonight because, as much as my husband protests otherwise, I really don't think he'll finish painting the nursery and assembling the crib by tomorrow. PROVE ME WRONG, HON!
2. Speaking of the baby being too long for the bassinet, he is also too long for all the clothing that *should* fit him right now. He's a little more than two months old, but he wears footie pajamas that are size 9M (nine month). I look forward to the summer, when little short pants will be an option.
3. I am typing this post on my brand new computer. Well, not entirely "brand new," as I got it at Christmas.
4. All around my house are framed enlargements of nature photos I've taken. I recently snapped this one and am trying to decide if I should frame it/where it could go.
6. I have love-hate relationship with our diaper bag. Judging by the fact that it's been discontinued in favor of a larger model, I must not be the only customer who feels this way. Basically, on the down side, the bag is too small/laid out poorly. But on the other hand, it's nice to carry something compact. Like I said, love-hate relationship.
7. I am also having a love-hate relationship with the babies' clothing section at Target. Cute stuff, decent prices, but limited selection. And you know it pains me to say anything negative about my dear Target.
Yeah, they're brown.
